TRAINING

Little Ship Club is pleased to announce an expansion of its practical training programme, with new seamanship and navigation workshops now available to members.

Building on the popularity of our existing course offering — from Day Skipper Theory through to Yachtmaster — the new sessions are designed to give members more hands-on, practical experience alongside the theory. Workshops will cover essential skills including pilotage planning, tidal navigation, rope work, and emergency procedures, with sessions led by experienced Club instructors.

The move responds to feedback from members who wanted more opportunities to put classroom learning into practice in a supportive, low-pressure environment before heading out on their own passages or taking assessed qualifications.

Sessions will run alongside our existing training calendar throughout the year, with spaces available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Whether you're working towards a qualification or simply want to sharpen your skills, the new workshops are open to members of all experience levels.

Keep an eye on the Training & Sailing page for upcoming dates, or register your interest to be notified when new sessions go live.
